Cane River stones are known to be more flat than most river stones. Each piece of Cane River 1"-3" stone is between the size of a ping pong ball and a tennis ball. Since they are less rounded than most river stones, they work very well as a mulch alternative or in dry creek beds. If constructing a dry creek bed, Cane River Thin and Cane River 1-3" work very well in combination with each other since the stones are known to interlock providing a sturdy base for excessive water flow.
